Today is World Hospice and Palliative Care Day.
At CovenantCare Home Health and Hospice, we believe everyone deserves dignity, comfort, and compassion—especially during life’s most tender chapters.
Palliative and hospice care isn’t just about medical support. It’s about honoring each person’s story. Listening deeply. Holding space. And walking alongside families with gentleness and grace.
Today, we honor the caregivers, nurses, chaplains, and volunteers who make that possible every single day—and we recommit to creating a world where everyone facing serious illness is met with warmth, dignity, and peace.

Did you know? When hospice care became part of Medicare in 1983, it required that at least 5% of staff hours be provided by volunteers.
That’s because community support is at the heart of hospice.
Our trained volunteers make a real difference—visiting patients, helping in the office, or supporting special events.
If you’ve felt called to share your time and heart, we’d love to welcome you to our hospice volunteer family.
