A Full Range of Services from Light Housekeeping to Around‐the‐Clock Care Tailored for Aging Seniors in Western Chicago
GENEVA, Ill.: Almost 80 million Baby Boomers are heading into retirement. Studies indicate that the overwhelming response on where seniors want to retire is clearly stated ‐ at home. As more and more seniors make the decision to retire at home, statistics also show that 60 percent of Americans who reach the age of 65 will eventually need long‐term care and home care resources at some point.
In response, CovenantCare at Home, a non‐profit subsidiary of Covenant Retirement Communities, promotes the independence of older adults to achieve maximum physical, emotional, social and spiritual well‐being in the privacy and comfort of their homes. The wide range of services available include comprehensive therapies, home health care assessments by registered nurses, personal care, medication reminders, “Get Up & Go” programs, transportation, laundry and homemaker services, and companionship. Services are covered under Medicare as well as other private pay insurance plans.
“So many aging adults prefer to retire in a place they know and love within their community,” said Joseph D. Haughney, president of CovenantCare at Home. “We fulfill a tremendous need as we assist people in planning ahead, without the stress and worry of having to move from their homes, depending on the level of care needed. We focus on total, wholeperson wellness by bringing services and resources to them.”
CovenantCare at Home Personalized care plans are tailored to each individual’s specific needs and desires, from light housekeeping to extensive around‐the‐clock care, always respecting privacy and personal preferences. If other types of supportive services are needed, including non‐medical needs, CovenantCare at Home will help in any way to make accommodations or offer other reliable resources.
In expanding efforts to provide senior home care services to the Geneva area, Covenant Retirement Communities recently acquired Carlton Home Healthcare, a comprehensive Medicare‐certified home health service provider licensed by the state of Illinois
Public Health Department. “Our philosophy at Carlton as we become ConvenantCare at Home is to continue to ensure seniors are provided the best home care possible,” said Carlton Juby, former owner of Carlton Home Healthcare. “We felt the acquisition allowed for more expanded opportunity, services, and overall, was a perfect fit.”
The acquisition is part of Covenant Retirement Communities’ ongoing efforts to be a leading senior home care provider, both in Illinois and across the nation.
